Terms and conditions
Last updated 10 October 2026. These are the terms for using RaptMate. We've kept them short and in plain English.
1. Who we are
RaptMate is run by Stephen O'Brien, a sole trader in Queensland, Australia (ABN 92 129 490 861). "We" and "us" mean RaptMate. "You" means the business that signs up.
2. What RaptMate does
RaptMate sends your customers a request for a Google review, by text or by email, and shows you what happened. When you connect Xero, it sends the request the day after a sales invoice is marked as paid. You can also send a request by hand, and use your QR code.
3. The free month
- Your first 30 days are free and include 25 texts. When they are used, no more texts are sent until a paid plan starts.
- You give a card when you start. If you don't cancel before the 30 days end, the monthly plan starts and the card is charged.
- There is one free month for each business.
4. Plans and prices
| Plan | Price | Texts included |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $59 a month | 50 a month |
| Yearly | $588 a year, paid up front | 75 a month |
- Prices are in Australian dollars for businesses in Australia and New Zealand dollars for businesses in New Zealand.
- No GST is added, because we are not registered for GST. If that changes we will tell you before it affects what you pay.
- Email requests are not counted and have no limit.
5. How texts are counted
- Each request sent by text counts as one text. A reminder counts as one more.
- Your texts for the month are counted from the day your plan started. Texts you don't use are not carried over.
- On a paid plan, texts beyond the number included are 30 cents each. They are added to your next monthly bill, including on the yearly plan.
6. When your customers hear from you
- Requests go out the day after the invoice is paid, between 9am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday, in your time zone.
- If the customer hasn't opened the link, one reminder follows three days later.
- A customer is asked once for each business. After that they are not asked again.
- Every request lets the customer opt out, and we keep to it.
7. What you agree to
- The people you ask are your own customers, and you are allowed to contact them. You are responsible for following the Spam Act 2003 in Australia and the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 in New Zealand.
- You follow Google's rules for reviews. That means every customer is asked, not only the happy ones, and nobody is offered anything in return for a review.
- The business details you give us are correct and the Google listing is yours.
8. Xero
RaptMate reads your invoices and contacts in Xero. It cannot change anything in your accounts. You can disconnect it from Xero at any time, and automatic requests stop when you do.
9. Cancelling and refunds
- You can cancel at any time from "Manage billing" on your dashboard. Your plan keeps running until the end of the period you have paid for, then stops.
- We don't refund part of a month or part of a year, unless the law says we must.
- If a payment fails, texts pause until the card is updated.
10. What we can't promise
We send the requests and report the results. Whether a customer leaves a review, what they write, and where Google ranks your business are outside our control, so we don't promise a number of reviews or a position on Google Maps.
11. If something goes wrong
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act. Beyond those rights, the most we are liable for is the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem, and we are not liable for lost profit or lost business.
12. Changes
If we change a price or these terms, we will email you at least 30 days before the change applies. If you don't agree, you can cancel before it does.
13. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia.
